You may have noticed a few changes. Other than updating the backend content engine, I've also removed the comments entirely. I am leaning toward not enabling disqus for tracking/privacy reasons, but may still change my mind. Not having to deal with spammers is definitely a plus.

I've also removed the commenting rules, since without comments, they are superfluous.

That said, two new pages grace the top of the screen. With the various bannings, including the recent one of Stefan Molyneaux from Youtube, there are two essays by ESR that I want to preserve. One is on how, for people who can learn from experience and plan ahead at least, the daily carrying of firearms does a lot to underscore the level of responsibility involved, and the knife edge of life and death that choices can become in split seconds. The other is on a term Eric coined - the Kafkatrap.
