As we enter the Christmas season, it is appropriate that Sabaton cover the last stand of the Swiss guard at the Vatican in 1527. I've said before - I am not sure where their beliefs truly lie, as they publicly eschew the title of "right wing." Nevertheless, the very fact they can and will discuss subjects like the rise to power of Hitler and the Nazi party with some sympathy for the German people, as well as the effectiveness, heroism, moral courage, or bravery of the ghost battalions, the Ger…

Sabaton was in Atlanta Sunday night as the third show of their tour for The Great War. What a show. Hammerfall opened, and did a great job as well, with a large percentage of the crowd also being fans. The variety of melodies, including, yes, not recycling r…
For those who have been following along until now, I've mentioned Sabaton repeatedly. I've also now mentioned their history channel, in collaboration with Indy Neidell. Yeah, those guys at Sabaton have a knack of doing something useful and informative that also opens up more business opportunities and promotion. Of course a channel dedicated to covering specific events from their songs will also be used to hilight songs from upcoming albums (and an upcoming tour that starts in the states this…
